Novotel Darwin CBD is situated on the Esplanade, featuring a swimming pool and an atrium with a tropical rainforest, complete with cascading vines, palm trees, and a waterfall. The hotel is close to Mitchell Street's cafes, bars, and nightlife, and within a 5-minute drive of Darwin Convention Centre, Skycity Darwin Casino, and Mindil Beach. The Esplanade Restaurant and Terrace serves breakfast, brunch, and dinner.

The rooms were good, the location excellent, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was just okay.

Service was very poor, staff were lacking, and I had to wait almost an hour to check in. With only one working lift, the hotel feels worn out and is the worst Novotel I’ve stayed at. It urgently needs trained staff and a refurbishment.
