The spot is perfect for exploring this amazing city; the historic centre is a 15‑minute walk over the Pont Luis I bridge, and the metro is also nearby if you’re tired. Don’t miss Jardim do Morro itself, which has a great vibe, fantastic views, and often live music. The Gaia riverbank is easy to reach, a bit calmer than the Porto side, and hosts the Port cellars plus many bars and restaurants. The lodging is simple, hostel‑style, clean, comfortable, and equipped for basic meals (no cooker, but there is a microwave). Communication was excellent.
