Situated in the Swabian Alb countryside, Widmann's Löwen offers charm with a beer‑garden restaurant and tiled‑stove cuisine. Rooms feature TV, minibar, hairdryer, and sweeping garden views. Two new chalets provide private saunas and luxury comforts. Guests enjoy breakfast, regional dishes, and event spaces like a cooking school and forest hut. Nearby, the Steinheim meteorite crater, hiking, cycling, and skiing await.

A wonderful country inn with a hotel and excellent cuisine. Dining at the inn is a real pleasure at attractive prices, and the attached star restaurant also cooks at star level. I give a 100 % recommendation to anyone who appreciates superb food in a beautiful setting. The street noise is also present in the rooms, which the hosts cannot change.

The spacious room and nice, roomy shower were positives. The whole building was too hot; we knew there was no air conditioning, but at 12 °C outside you’d want to open the window, which you can’t because there are no shutters. When you open the window, wasps literally zoom into your room, and of course the biting flies. The hotel sits right next to a very busy street, and we were kept awake all night from evening to early morning by, among others, suppliers. This happened even though we went to breakfast at 7:00 am. The hotel looks dated and doesn’t smell fresh. The breakfast was well prepared and the room was clean, but I definitely didn’t close my eyes.

We were on Albschäferweg and were warmly welcomed at the reception! The dinner was very good and flavorful. The next morning we were treated to a great breakfast that left no wishes unfulfilled! There is nothing that could be improved – we would come back anytime and would recommend Widmann‘s Löwen to others.

A lovely hotel just outside Heidenheim. The rooms were nicely equipped and decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. We had an excellent breakfast and dinner.

A very quiet hotel with an extraordinary friendly service. The operation seems to train excellently. Breakfast was very good. There is an extra breakfast menu that goes beyond just egg preparations. Excellent service in the restaurant and well‑prepared dishes. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. If we come back to the area, we’ll book right away. Everything was fine.
