“Clean. Review hospitality with your staff.”
The walk from the parking lot to my room was very clean, and my kids loved the wall of digital displays opposite the entrance. The workout facility is always a bonus. The kids would have enjoyed the pool, but I couldn’t find the time to take them. I did take a peek and it looked clean from where I was standing. Because I was traveling with children, they were very excited to walk by the wall of TVs (or at least that’s what I think they were) that had a loop playing of a cozy autumn day, with a very cute cat snoozing away on one of the chairs. My eldest had a cat that has since passed, that looked just like this particular cat in the digital loop, so she “aww’d” and was so excited each time we walked past it. I did not personally witness this but my mom later told me the young lady who worked the front counter appeared annoyed with my children. This particular worker was very monotone, as she is the one who checked me in. I personally felt like she just didn’t like her job, and hey, I get it. We’re not always going to be working where we want, doing what we want so I gave her grace, even though I had to ask where I’d find the elevator, the pool, the fitness center. Those things have always been standard information handed to me at the same time as the room key(s). I get that we don’t always love what we do, but it’s unfortunate even happy children annoyed her. The man who was working the morning we left was opposite. He greeted me in the morning when I went to the car to load up some items first. He smiled and wished us well when we left. I didn’t have breakfast as I had other engagements to attend, but my mom said it was disappointing, limited options.
