“Absolute disgraceful attitude and accomodation”

It was opposite a pub and Tesco. I was locked in because the door handle kept spinning; I had to climb out the window. The wall heater didn’t work and the shower ran cold, so I couldn’t shower. There was no iron or tea‑making facilities as advertised. I contacted the owner and he said it wasn’t his problem because he was busy with his family. He told me not to stay there and hung up; this was about 8 pm. I would have left, but he was. He was rude and dismissive. His cleaner spoke to him and told him; he said he would call back but never did. He refused compensation and told me to go stay somewhere else. He didn’t believe me about the door, said I was lying despite sending him video evidence. Absolutely disgusting attitude, no care or customer service, disregard for health and safety as I had to climb out the window and no care for well‑being as there was no heater or hot water. I would not stay regardless of the pics.

Clean and tidy property with fridge, kettle and TV. Plenty of parking.

“Disappointed”

Very little. I was genuinely unhappy with the quality of our stay. On arrival we couldn’t access our room because the key was missing from the lock box. There was no internet, no tea towel to dry dishes, no hand wash, no body wash, and the kitchen was sparsely equipped—no cutting knives, no cutting boards. Though an iron and ironing facilities were advertised, they were absent.

“Want to stay again.”

I liked the location, the fridge, toaster, microwave, and the proximity to shops and woods. The two tall trees were beautiful. The bed felt like a waterbed and was soft; I slept well and could open the window. The sofa, garden, friendly phone greeting, and privacy made Peace House peaceful. I had to Google the phone number. I didn’t like the all‑black décor: black sofa, wardrobe, kitchenette, bin, and a sink that didn’t work. The electric top looked like a fryer but I couldn’t get it to work, so I used the microwave. The bedding color was off; I wasn’t sure if towels were free, so I used my own. I didn’t need a TV but wasted time trying to get it, eventually giving up. It’s okay though.
