“price for B & B was quite reasonable for this day and age. I enjoyed my stay.”

I had a solid breakfast, and dinner was also good though a bit pricey; the room was decent but the quilt on the bed was far too heavy, and the tap in the bathroom had extremely low water pressure. The staff were terrific, very helpful and cheerful, so I’ll book again. I caught the 08.59 train from Stroud to Cheltenham and then to Edinburgh, but I missed breakfast because it wasn’t available from 7.30 am. The quilt on the bed could have been lighter and breakfast could start at 7.30.

The view was nice, but the room was very small, and the ensuite was so-so with tatty furniture.
