“Schlafen in der Baumkrone - ein tolles Erlebnis.”
The treehouse was extraordinary, and the breakfast was excellent and varied. Wi‑Fi was weak to nonexistent in the treehouse suite, but fine elsewhere in the property.
“Outdoors camping feel in mountains with rough road”
We booked the tree house, but if you’re taller than 5”7 you’ll struggle. They offered three rooms and we picked one up front with two levels; the room was okay, a bit buggy. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were great! Still, the location was good for activities, yet the roads are terrible, so be prepared if you’re driving. The rooms were basic, lacking washcloths and hand towels, and a fan would have helped with air circulation. Reception struggled with English, as the same person handled cooking, cleaning, and reception and couldn’t speak English or process card payments.
Alexis was incredibly helpful, offering warm and friendly service, the breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, and the staff were very kind and efficient; the property has potential, but the bathrooms need more investment to become comfortable while keeping the rustic feel, and overall we felt safe and at ease, though the bathrooms and outdoor furniture could use better maintenance and newer hammocks.
The location was perfect, right next to a nature reserve with waterfalls, and the lodging was beautiful with mountain views and bird‑feeders that we could watch straight from the bedroom window; the food was excellent, we tried several Ecuadorian specialties, and I’d also recommend the night tour.
