“Erwartungen wurden nicht erfüllt”

The bed was comfortable and the restaurant’s outdoor area had a nice view, though it didn’t quite match the atmosphere I had hoped for at the hotel. The food was very good. I couldn’t walk from the hotel without going down the street, and there were no lounge chairs to catch a quick sun after the long drive. For breakfast, served at the table, I missed cereal and fresh fruit (two fresh dates were served with a cup of yogurt), and instead of a wide range of sausages, a few more sliced cheeses would have been nice (there were four tiny cheese bites and a bowl of cream cheese).

The hotel was great, the rooms were beautiful, the restaurant food was exquisite, the breakfast was superb, and the staff—including the chef—were very friendly.
