I was thrilled to stay on the main avenue of Ortigia, right near everything, and Anita, the owner, was absolutely wonderful—she made the whole experience feel so personal. There was nothing else to complain about.

“Excellent most comfortable stay in Italy”

This place turned out to be our top accommodation in Italy; the host responded instantly to every request and really cared about customer service. The location and the apartment itself were both excellent, and everything was flawless.

The location was superb, right in the city center, but we had to cut our visit short because of the Etna eruptions; the host offered an extra day to make up for the lost time, which we appreciated even though we had to leave on schedule. She even brought us a tasty welcome treat, which was comforting after all the Etna drama. The apartment was large and well-equipped, and we would have liked to stay longer. It was one of the few places in Sicily with an elevator, which was handy for traveling with luggage. The only downside was some street noise at night, but that’s the price for being in the center; the windows had many layers of coverings to keep the room dark.

The central location was great, surrounded by many nice cafés and restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and each room had a powerful AC. Despite being on the main street in Ortigia, there was no noise. The apartment was clean, and the staff removed the trash daily and supplied water. The hostess let us drop off our luggage before check‑in and even picked us up from the train station. We enjoyed our stay, though there was a bit of mold in the shower and occasionally the AC had a strange smell when the fan ran without cooling.
