The room was excellent, with a balcony overlooking the sea and its own beach with loungers. The sea entrance had stones but was still comfortable. Parking was available. Breakfast was good and varied. The view of the castle was beautiful.

The reception staff were welcoming, the cleanliness was superb, the room was huge, the balcony great, the shower supplies high quality, and the breakfast buffet was superlative. The location right on the sea was a dream.

The location on the water is stunning, the small hotel is meticulous, the staff are friendly, it’s near a charming village, and the breakfast and restaurant on site are recommended.

I landed at Kymata Hotel right after a five‑day hike up and down Mount Olympus, feeling more beast than human. The Kymata team were extremely professional, patient, and kind, gently easing me back into civilization with a cozy atmosphere, excellent food and wine, and wonderful hospitality. The fish was always fresh and delicious. The beach is literally a one‑minute walk from the entrance, while Platamonas centre and the Byzantine castle above the hotel are about a 20‑minute walk. I stayed only two nights but felt completely at ease. When I return to climb Olympus again, I’ll definitely stay at Kymata. The weather… but that’s hardly Kymata’s fault, and even that didn’t stop me from enjoying the private beach and swimming in the sea.
