The staff were kind, breakfasts were tasty, and the place lived up to its name, but the bed was very hard, it felt like the room had been smoked, and there was a cigarette smell.

The location in town and on the beach was wonderful, the lounging area was lovely, the pool area was nice, and the upper deck offered great ocean views and sunset watching.

I stumbled upon this spot right on the sea foreshore, and it turned out to be a real treasure. Axel and Cathy cooked up a storm and were ready to help with anything we needed. If you’re after a quiet, beautifully kept seaside hotel, this is it. Las Penitas is super quiet, so skip it if you’re hunting nightlife. For beach lovers who enjoy good food and peace, it’s spot on. When you’re here, don’t miss the Turtle Egg protection project excursion; that last photo is worth it.
