A cozy bar corner lets you sit back and relax, and the breakfast hours stretch out—on weekends until eleven o’clock—with a stress‑free checkout by noon. The location is generally convenient, with several U‑ and S‑bahn lines nearby that give direct connections to the Landungsbrücken or the Staatsoper, and the main station is only one stop away (see details below). The downside was a lack of staff at the bar, which made things a bit chaotic and tiring at times, and the breakfast tables weren’t cleared promptly. Even though the breakfast was overall tidy, the warm dishes were noticeably cool and a bit stale. The construction site at Berliner Tor, outside the hotel’s control, made getting to the hotel harder, especially when the weather wasn’t friendly.
