The breakfast was excellent, the location superb, and the staff were wonderful and responsive. Everything was just fine.

Everything starts at the reception, where a friendly staff welcomed us. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Their restaurant served very tasty breakfasts, especially the pancakes and cheese‑filled pastries, which were exactly to my taste. The selection of dishes was sufficient, and the restaurant staff were always smiling and kind. In my room everything was satisfactory. I would stay there again if the opportunity arises.

“Will not bother - out of the way location and unhelpful staff”

The bathroom was clean and the towels on the first two nights were great. The hotel felt very remote, and the staff seemed unwilling to speak English—many just froze and appeared uninterested. I understand there's a war, but the place felt very unwelcoming. When I was leaving and needed help with a bolt after accidentally deleting my eSIM, the front‑desk girl didn’t seem eager to assist, even though I offered more than twice the actual bolt fee at the bus station because I was in a hurry and didn’t want to waste time changing money. Ukraine was nice to me, but Alarus Lux was extremely underwhelming.

“Comfortable, clean and safe location with professional and attentive staff”

The reception operated 24/7, and there was a convenient shelter in case of an air‑raid alert. The hotel was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast delicious—syrnyky and crepes with sweet cheese. From the fifth floor you get a fantastic view of the city.
