This home was lovely, offering both private and shared rooms, shared bathrooms, and a kitchen. Everything was tidy and comfy, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The Japanese futon I slept on was far better than a typical hotel mattress—highly recommend the Japanese‑style room! Laundry machines are available, plus drying racks if you don’t want to pay for the machine. The spot is excellent, just a short walk from Uji Bridge and Byodo‑in Temple, and you should definitely check out the architecture at Keihan Uji station while staying here—it’s pretty neat. The front desk also sells local Matcha green tea. The only minor gripe: on busier days the hot water in the shower was inconsistent, but it was still warm and humid enough that I didn’t mind and actually wanted a cooler shower.

The staff were kind and courteous, giving me peace of mind. The shampoo and conditioner were also great! A slight issue was that the cleaning wasn’t perfect—there were a few stray hairs in the room, which didn’t bother me too much but was a bit noticeable.

The staff were adorable, available, and welcoming. The hotel’s location is excellent relative to the train station and all nearby shops! Experiencing a traditional room was fantastic! Thanks a lot for this pleasant stay :)

Check‑in and check‑out were simple. The room key seemed easy to duplicate, and I could hear noise from the neighboring room or hallway, which was a bit annoying.
