DJIFFER is fantastic. It sits on the road between Palmarin and Djiffer. The rooms are well‑kept, isolated cabins. The pool is spectacular, thanks to the clean water. But the real value of this place is Mrs. Vinta, who with her team runs the site, treats guests, and handles service overall; she’s a wonderful, calm person. We didn’t like the walk we took to see the fishermen’s arrival in Djiffer. Days before we’d visited other fishermen’s arrival spots, and it’s always the same: the beach banks look like dumps, full of plastic and food scraps that the sea drags and deposits in the sand with the tide. There’s no trash‑pickup service. Because it’s a public issue, no one cleans up.

The place is idyllic. The rooms are very clean and well decorated. The facilities are well maintained. The pool is a luxury. They also organize excursions to explore the area, and the food is excellent, homemade. The manager is always attentive to what you need, and they’re very responsive on Booking. The only downside is that although there’s Wi‑Fi, it didn’t work until the second day. The drinks are limited; having cocktails would be great. Lastly, the food is tasty but they don’t give you menu options; they just ask “fish, meat or chicken” and how you want it cooked. It would be nice to have choices for how each dish is prepared.

The bungalows are very well designed and very clean. The food was lovely. The whole setup was extremely pleasant. Binita was very helpful and organized a trip in the mangroves on a pirogue, finished with a picnic and a visit to a local village and fish mine, and an evening outing in the ecopark where we visited the salt pits and even some hyenas. That day was one of the highlights of our holiday. We would have loved to stay longer. It was all perfect.
