It was a great stay 😃 The staff were super friendly… The food, especially breakfast, was excellent.

The bungalows were spacious, and the fish in the bathroom were a nice touch. The location was somewhat quieter, and bicycles were available. The beach was nice but not suitable for swimming or snorkeling; we always had to go elsewhere, which was a shame.

The hotel was beautiful in a lovely setting. The room was great and the staff were friendly. Free bicycles were available, though we didn’t use them, but the service was good. There was nothing that wasn’t good.

“Good front beach houses”

We loved that the hotel sat right on the beach, letting us enjoy breakfast by the sea. Two free bicycles per house was a nice bonus. The restaurant food was good, though a bit pricey. The bed was comfortable. The little fish in the bathroom pond were almost always hiding and seemed scared; even after feeding them, we only saw them once at night, so we wished we could see them more often. The special beach dinner was disappointing for the price, the décor was basic and nothing special, and the dishes matched the regular menu but cost more. Knowing this beforehand would have stopped us from booking; it felt like poor value for money.

“Zimmer stinkt nach Urin!”

The resort is lovely right on the beach with mostly friendly, helpful staff, but the vibe was ruined by the room’s condition and how the management handled our complaint. Our room smelled distinctly of urine as soon as the AC was turned off, and one staff member even noticed the odd odor at first. After we complained, they cleaned the room, set the AC to maximum cooling, and used strong air fresheners that initially masked the smell, but it returned within minutes of turning the AC off again, giving us the impression that the problem was merely covered up, not fixed. No other room was available, so we had to find and pay for a replacement place ourselves around 23:00 without any support, and we never spent a single night of the five we booked there. Manager Mike was especially disappointing: he promised a personal room inspection and told us multiple times when he would be on site, only to later write that he had been on Lombok since the day before and hadn’t entered the hotel for 48 hours, then suddenly claimed to be ill. Despite several visits, we never spoke to him in person or even over the phone. Later he offered to cover our restaurant bill as a goodwill gesture, even though we had already paid it. The hotel refused any refund and offered no practical solution; only through their own goodwill did we receive a credit. Beautiful location and friendly staff, but the room’s odor and the management’s poor handling of our complaint completely ruined our stay.
