“Decent Palermo Stay”

The spot was great for strolling around the historic center and close to the main train/bus station; the host was proactive and quick to reply. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a good bed and shower, though toiletries were missing. A nice common area had a microwave and coffee maker, but no dishes or utensils for meals. Some people might find the neighborhood a little rough, but we never felt unsafe.

The location is super convenient for both bus and train, and it’s close to the historic centre, a popular neighbourhood but nothing too dangerous. The room had a small bathroom, but since I was alone it was fine; the shower was big and offered several spray options. Everything was handy with a keypad and a locker, and the building is old so there’s no elevator, but it’s on the ground floor. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and my room even had a little terrace. The only downside was the old windows and shutters that didn’t seal properly, letting street noise seep in.

The accommodation was near the city centre. The bed frame was broken, so the mattress shifted around.

“Muy cómodo pero faltan cosas...”

I really liked the room, especially the bed comfort and shower, and the place is right next to the central train station and Ballarò market, among other Palermo attractions. However, it’s unacceptable that after five nights we never had anyone check on the room and we only had two rolls of toilet paper for the entire stay (we had to buy more and shower gel). That’s why I didn’t give a higher score, even though overall the experience was positive.
