A tiny but charming spot, perfect for our overnight stop; the pub’s food was excellent and worth a try. I can’t think of anything we disliked – it’s a pleasant pub hotel, not a luxury place but it doesn’t pretend to be.

A wonderful building in a lovely village – it’s my local pub, so I’m a bit biased! Parking is some distance away and the food options are a little limited.

We were looking for a pub‑with‑rooms vibe and Lamb hit the mark. The welcome was warm for us and especially for our dog. The pub had character, was historic, and buzzing with locals. Beer selection was strong, with local brews highlighted. The menu was spot on, offering a good spread of pies and classic British pub fare. Food was made with care, genuine thought and flavour. Our room faced the town square and had many thoughtful touches that made the stay feel personal. We slept soundly on a super bed. It feels like we found a gem and want to come back. Stay another night! Plenty to see and do in Sandford and Crediton.
