Villino di Porporano

“An exceptional stay”

Villino Di Porporano is my favourite small hotel stay in Italy. Everything is perfect - the beautifully curated spaces filled with antiques, the comfortable rooms, spacious bathrooms and my favourite feature - gorgeous antique linen sheets. The breakfast is wonderful - a variety of delicious cakes (all homemade) pastries, fruit and cereals. We were spoilt! Gluten free was extremely well catered for. This is a must if you’re in the area - a beautiful experience from start to finish!

The breakfast was amazing! It started a little late, but we are early risers and that’s fine.

Everything was excellent. We booked a room with garden view, but you actually can’t see the garden because the terrace roof blocks it, and the curtains must always be drawn since breakfast is served on the terrace – a bit disappointing.

“Rustige, centrale uitvalsbasis in een omgeving waar veel te zien is en je heerlijk kunt eten.”

The building is beautiful, with a lovely garden and a nice pool. The owners gave us great tips for parking in Parma and for restaurants, and they even made reservations for us. A small reading lamp by the sofa would have been nice.
