It’s a very quiet spot, perfect for those looking for rest and peace. The surroundings are lovely and well maintained, and I have no complaints.

Aura was very attentive to our needs, as was the service staff; the place is full of peace and greenery, ideal for relaxing and conveniently located to visit other towns in Boyacá. I just wish I could leave sooner!

It has nice features, but if you read the negative part you’ll understand why it’s not worth it. The Hotel Suescún has huge potential: the hacienda is beautiful, historic, spacious, with an old tent area and architecture that could offer a truly special experience. However, the hotel’s operation leaves a lot to be desired. The facilities and furnishings feel older than ancient, with obvious lack of maintenance and updates. Most concerning is that at 8:00 p.m. almost all service disappears: the restaurant, bar and other amenities close, there is no room service, and you can’t even order a coffee, an aromatherapy drink, or a simple snack. The estate even shuts down, leaving guests essentially alone for the night, which is especially serious in case of a medical emergency or the need to leave the property quickly. Staff returns the next day, sometimes after 8:30 or even 9:00 a.m., giving a sense of abandonment rather than tranquility. The rooms, although part of a historic building, have a lot of structural noise: floors and wood creak constantly, and walking at night can wake other guests. In short, it’s a beautiful hacienda with a lot of potential, but the current hotel experience is below the standard of the place. Preserving a property’s historic character is one thing; letting lack of maintenance and service ruin the experience and, especially, the safety and comfort of guests is another.

The building is gorgeous, and the facilities are great, but there’s no transport to nearby towns.

The location is fantastic in an old hacienda where you feel like the owner, and dining by a fireplace in a stylish vintage salon is the highlight, though the breakfast was quite light for such a beautiful hotel.
