The room was lovely in a charming city, the staff were helpful, and free access to drinks was a nice touch; nothing to complain about.

“Five star luxury in a tastefully refurbished historic building.”

The rooms are tucked into historic buildings that have been turned into luxury accommodations. Ours spanned two floors, with a huge bedroom and sitting room on the upper level and the bathroom downstairs. We chose half board, and the dining room was a ten‑minute walk from our room, though the hotel offers transport if needed. The menu was described as “a Japanese/French fusion.” Breakfast is served in a tearoom setting with Japanese dishes, and we loved everything about the stay. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was a pleasant first experience for us. The staff were very attentive.

“Beautiful traditional buildings in Ozu old town”

The hotel spreads across multiple buildings in the center of Ozu old town, within easy walking distance of local shops, galleries, cafés and the castle. The traditional buildings that house the hotel are a real delight, and they provide kimono dressing gowns and wooden shoes for guests. Service is excellent, making this truly a special little place. However, street lighting outside kept our bedroom quite bright overnight.
