Everything was perfect for my vacation: excellent location, bon odori, and the 9 onsen just behind the hotel. Mr. Driver and the front desk, dining, and housekeeping teams were all outstanding, providing highly personalized service that went beyond my expectations. I truly appreciate their time, sincerity, and kindness. Thank you, Shibu Hotel team. :) I have nothing to dislike; everything is well.

The staff were incredible—very nice, professional, and kind. The onsen experience both on site and in town was amazing. The hotel staff explained how to properly use the onsens and even helped my husband dress appropriately. They called ahead and confirmed the monkeys were in the park that morning before driving us to the monkey park. I would return again. A small sushi restaurant next door (family‑type place) served us a delightful meal and the owners were hospitable.

There was a free‑drink station in the lobby, which I used while taking a break between visits to the outdoor baths, and it was really nice.

The family runs the ryokan with a lot of love. We were on our honeymoon there and it was truly the highlight of our trip. If we could, we would give 100 points. The onsens in town are wonderful and the monkey park is right nearby. But the service, the kaiseki menu, and the stay at Shibu Hotel were simply the highlight for us.
