We only booked a room and breakfast, plus one buffet. The breakfast room and bar location are wonderful. The dinner buffet was huge and we’re glad we didn’t have to sift through it every night. The reception staff were exceptional in finding personalized activities. The pool bar was unfortunately only open a little, and there was no information about its hours. Getting off the hotel or traveling around the island is hard by public bus; every route goes through Funchal, wasting a lot of time, for example traveling from the hotel to the airport takes you through Funchal.
