“A bad situation made much worse by the management response”

It was conveniently located for our needs, but we had booked a comfort room—supposedly better than a superior or standard room—and the shower hadn’t been cleaned properly, causing the bathroom and bedroom to flood. Moving around the bedroom left my feet wet, and clothes on the bathroom floor became soaking wet. The management acknowledged the issue but refused a full refund, claiming we had “made use of the sheets.” They later offered a 50 % reduction after removing other charges we hadn’t initially complained about. Had we known the breakfast cost nearly €15 each, we would have complained then too. For us—and likely every traveler reading this—a failure that forced us to spend over half an hour in the middle of the night mopping up the rooms, with clothes ruined by drain water and excessive humidity and heat making it impossible to sleep, warranted a full refund.

The staff were friendly and very engaged, but if you arrive on a Sunday there’s nothing to eat in the village, and on Mondays the grocery shop is also closed. There is also no Wi‑Fi.

The service was perfect, the staff were very friendly, the facilities were good, the bike parking was handy, and the pool was great.
