The building, rooms and location are incredible—truly special. The history is amazing. The charcuterie board, wine, and homemade pear tart were lovely, and I really enjoyed the hot tub in the garden too. It felt very special, and although nothing was lacking, the quirky vibe was exactly what we liked.

The salon is spacious, with historic fixtures and a modern, comfortable bed, and the room itself includes a built‑out 'Boudoir' with a rainshower‑shower and a separate toilet in the 'overhanging' bay. Unfortunately, during the bathroom renovation every storage option (a stool, a narrow shelf) was omitted. The hair dryer was broken, and the noisy, non‑portable fan was irritating. Even in the historic ambience of the old castle kitchen, the breakfast buffet could have been richer, especially given the high room price.
