The welcome was excellent. The room was very spacious and the breakfast was great. The ryokan is charming and we enjoyed a lovely walk before a boat tour, and the parking across the street was very handy. I strongly recommend it and hope to return. Nothing was wrong – everything was perfect.

The view from the room was stunning. One window looked out over the entire front yard with its beautiful trees; the other faced the river. The area was super quiet and peaceful, and the service was great. The lady who greeted us was friendly and checked in whenever we left or came back.

This ryokan was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a traditional layout and furniture. The host, Yukari (hope I spelled that correctly), was the most helpful and generous person; she arranged an evening canal punt cruise and drove us herself to the departure point. The ryokan sits in a very central spot, a 5‑minute walk to the train station, close to a large supermarket and many restaurants. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood and a delightful place to stay. I’d recommend it for its great value, comfy rooms, and friendly staff who welcome you. We loved it. The breakfast was excellent and a pleasure to eat. I think the place is perfect just the way it is.

The service was flawless, and the meals were delicious—especially when they went out of their way to stock peanut butter and jelly for my husband’s and son’s specific preferences, which we really appreciated. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and welcoming, and the hotel is within walking distance of the river. I wish I’d asked for the name of the warm receptionist who greeted us, and my kids even received origami at checkout. If I ever return to Yanagawa, I’ll definitely book here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The old building was renovated into a modern, comfortable space, and the room’s decor cleverly combined old and new elements for a soothing atmosphere. No complaints.
