The building was beautiful, its restoration immaculate, and the grounds were lovely. There was no shower, only a beautiful old bath.

Absolute tranquility (we were practically the only guests). The staff’s friendliness and availability were excellent. The equipment quality was top, especially the onsen, which nearly matched those in Takayama. The house concept works well, with everything at your disposal. The stay felt too short.

The Chateau feels like a calm oasis surrounded by stunning grounds, and the owners really make guests feel at home, creating a wonderfully relaxing vibe. The rooms keep the Chateau’s authenticity with antique furniture, are comfortable, air‑conditioned, and have very comfortable beds. Breakfast is superb, with attentive service and eggs cooked to order. We had a memorable overnight stay, and special thanks to Benjamin for taking such great care of us. Nothing to add.
