“confusing check-in, unclean room”
The location was good, but the building is very old and check‑in was chaotic. The host only sent street directions without a floor number or apartment details. When we called around 11 pm to ask, he seemed irritated, as if we had woken him up. He then sent a video showing which floor to go to, but the door he pointed out was wrong. We tried our key on other guests’ doors, and one guest yelled at us. We had to try every door before finding ours, and we didn’t dare call the host again. The room was not properly cleaned; two items of a previous guest’s clothing were in the wardrobe drawer. The host removed them the next day, which was quick, but the room was never cleaned. We only had a very thin sheet, so we told the host we were cold. He brought a duvet, which solved the cold, but it was very dirty and he didn’t give us a duvet cover. We had to lay it directly over the sheet and spent the night trying not to let our bodies touch it. Hot water was unreliable and ran out halfway through my shower. The room was basic overall, with a low‑quality sink and shower area, and it smelled of cigarette smoke. The host responded quickly once we contacted him, but the lack of clear check‑in instructions, the cleanliness issues, and the poor facilities made this a disappointing stay. I can’t recommend it.
