Rum Runner Inn

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, yet the room we stayed in clearly needed a remodel and refresh; cigarette smoke from the sidewalk seeped into the building entrance and under the door, making the room smell terrible.

“Rum Runner Annexe”

The location was great, on the edge of the town’s heart, so it was quiet yet close to activities and restaurants; the bed was comfortable and the private balcony of the annexe room was spacious with a partial view over the harbour beyond the Fisheries Museum, and the kitchen area was handy for self‑catering, but the room could have had more softening touches and the layout felt a bit cluttered; the shallow shower tray and flimsy curtain weren’t ideal for showering, and the adjoining balconies offered little screening, so we felt overlooked when neighbours were outside.

It’s right in town and within walking distance of everything, and it was quiet at night, but the room was very small and the air‑conditioner and heater were plugged into a power strip, which felt like a fire hazard, so we plugged them into the wall to feel safer.

The location is very good, right in the centre of Lunenburg, and we would book this hotel again.
