The staff were very friendly and the proximity to the lake is perfect. The breakfast spread is extensive and there is a parking space right in front of the door. Unfortunately, there was only one bathtub, the entrance is a bit awkward, and the shower curtain is always in the way.

The receptionist was friendly, early check‑in was possible, and she arranged a Tegernsee card for us and offered good tips about the Wallbergbahn and a boat trip. We had booked a lake‑view room that required a plumber, yet we received a nice balcony room instead. A large complex in front of the lake view would have blocked the view to concrete pillars. We had to make a reservation for the restaurant—no one informed us. The Italian place around the corner was great. Staff at the hotel’s own restaurant and at breakfast were not very friendly to us; they focused on guests from a company trip. Next time I’ll stay in Tegernsee. More food options, longer evening sun, and a nicer town would help.

The food at the restaurant was extremely good. What struck me most was the bathroom—it was very, very clean, almost brand new. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The beds were a bit too hard for us and the pillows too thin, but that’s not a major criticism—just our personal feeling.
