Overall the hotel is solid, but the fish and chips at the restaurant were terrible—four of us agreed, and it was served on Monday 12 October. The bill was cut by 50%, yet the meal itself was just bad.

The central location is good, the reception staff are friendly, and the building is beautiful, but the bed was rock‑hard, the bar staff were surly, we forgot to order breakfast and had to wait a long time, and the overall cost felt high.
