I stayed in a very sweet place in Huaraz that served as a launchpad for hikes and day trips, which could also be arranged through the host. The host, Ana, is extremely friendly; even if you don’t see her in the accommodation often, she usually replies on WhatsApp within 5 minutes and helps with any questions. The lodging is set up in a basic style but it’s more than enough—you get everything you need, including hot water for showers. Breakfast consists of rolls with jam and butter, scrambled eggs, and always some fruit, which we found excellent. The location could have been a little more central.

The spot is well situated, the prices are reasonable, and it’s a great place to grab a hot drink at night. The room’s yellow lighting is less preferable to me than white, as it offers more brightness. There was no place to hang suits; it’s important to have a spot to hang shirts, jackets, etc.

The breakfast is good, and the terrace is pleasant. The place is 20 minutes from the center, and the rooms have no windows.

The rooms are huge, cozy, and comfortable. The distance from the center is considerable.

When I didn’t have time to eat breakfast, they packed it for me and it was lovingly prepared. The key for the front door was very difficult to open, so I always had to ask passersby if they could help me.
