It’s a luxury to experience living in a castle of this caliber; the exceptional accommodations are amazing! Everything we liked was absolutely perfect.
We set off from Rocamodur to Saint Cirq Lapopie and stumbled upon Chateau de Larnagol, a medieval castle perched on dramatic cliffs overlooking the river. We booked a fourth‑floor apartment inside the castle, and the view from our room was absolutely stunning. The interiors were elegant and historically preserved, and the gardens were gorgeous—truly a dream. The hosts treated us with genuine care and hospitality, and the owner gave us a tour of the mansion, immersing us in its history. It was very romantic and charming, and we’re already looking forward to returning.

The reception was warm, the place beautiful, the castle’s dining and suite comfort outstanding. Breakfast was generous, served in the magnificent old castle kitchen. It was a simple, convivial, unforgettable experience. Thanks to the owners for sharing this authentic place—this charming, historic moment—with our small group.

The setting is beautiful, the suite is huge and grand, the new bathroom is lovely, the hosts are kind, and the views are stunning. I hesitate to give a negative review, but a balanced perspective is important: breakfast was disappointing—cold tea water, stale bread, a tired fruit salad; no tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom, just a flask of cold water; no proper outdoor area with or without shade; and there were no nearby restaurants or bars, so you had to drive for coffee.
