“Excellent Lodge but pricey for what you get”
The Lodge itself was fabulous, with quality furnishings and everything you needed, and the beds were really comfortable. The double doors opened up to let you watch the sunsets in the evening, and it was exceptionally clean with excellent cooking facilities. It turned out to be much bigger than expected and very comfortable, with some small but nice green spaces around and a little place to feed ducks. Walking distance brought me to the beach, Sealife centre and funfair. However, Big Brother demanded names, ages, etc. of the entire family—totally unnecessary! I had to bring my own bedding and it was a bit pricey overall. Absolutely nothing was included that we knew about before booking, and it would have been cheaper to go to a hotel. When we arrived it was baking hot and there wasn’t one window open to cool the property, like walking into a sauna. No fans were provided; we had brought our own but had two cars, which could be difficult for a family traveling in one car. The TV reception was a bit hit or miss.
