I was searching for a place to stay in Srinagar late at night and found a few options, then decided to book De Elaaf The Luxury Stay and I'm really glad I did. Tonight is my last night in Srinagar before heading to Pahalgam, and this has been one of the best hotel experiences on my trip. The staff are absolutely wonderful—very polite, humble, welcoming, and genuinely cooperative. I had an online conference during my stay, so a good internet connection was crucial, and the Wi‑Fi was excellent. They even set up a separate internet connection/router just for my room, which was extremely helpful. The team kept telling me, “If you need anything, just let us know.” That level of personal attention really stood out. I also met Mr. Wasim, one of the operational managers, and we had a lovely conversation in the beautiful garden area. He was friendly and helpful, recommending nearby attractions and restaurants. I later visited Ahdoos for Wazwan, and the food was absolutely delicious. The location is another big advantage: De Elaaf is centrally located in Srinagar, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. Lal Chowk and Dal Lake are about 10 minutes away by car, depending on traffic. I stayed in a very clean and comfortable Garden View room and enjoyed the peaceful garden atmosphere despite being in the city centre. Overall, I would happily give this property 10/10. The cleanliness, location, beautiful garden, excellent Wi‑Fi, and especially the wonderful team made my stay memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Srinagar. “Worth the Stay. friendly people always help when you are travelling.”

The staff were extremely friendly and very courteous. The location was perfect—quiet, away from traffic, yet close to downtown. I would stay again. The facilities were limited; there was only the room and breakfast. That’s fine because I walked and ran by the river in the morning, which is very close.

The breakfast was amazing, but what I love most about this hotel is its staff. I rarely see such an amazing team, even at other 3‑star properties. The main attraction is the superb staff—every single member goes above and beyond. The housekeeping staff were lovely and even made a cute little towel bunny for me! The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was good and varied, offering both traditional Indian dishes and Western options. The staff were helpful and attentive whenever I needed anything.

“Totally wrong property besides what we receive with same fare”

It felt like a scam for some of us because this property was promoted as 4 *, which is a total hoax. There was no breakfast, no swimming pool, and the care was zero… we should not promote it, especially since we use the portal so often.

The location was good. The floor of the room could have been cleaner, and hand towels should have been provided. The toiletries could be better, and the pillows were very thick.
