Akelarre Ostatua, a boutique guest house in Gernika-Lumo, sits on a quiet street just 50 m from the Town Hall and Peace Museum, with the train station a two‑minute walk. Its rooftop terrace overlooks Guernica and the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. Rooms feature bright décor, wooden floors, private bathrooms, free Wi‑Fi, and flat‑screen TVs. The lounge offers vending‑machine snacks, while nearby tapas bars provide local flavor.

The online check‑in method and access code are amazing, and Nerea’s communication is excellent. Whenever I visit, I enjoy a good beer on the terrace. Everything is 10.

Good communication with the staff and the option for early arrival. The terrace on the 5th floor is pleasant. The bathroom directly in the room feels a bit odd, but luckily I had the room to myself.

Nothing positive. Total lack of staff and a dilapidated apartment.

Good location and the ability to leave bikes inside the accommodation. The furniture is old and worn; an upgrade would help.
