The spot is great—right by Ishigaki Public Market and the Port, and the price was almost $20 per night per guest, with a flexible cancellation and late‑arrival policy. But you really get what you pay for: a basic place to sleep, nothing more. Bring your own towel for the showers, and the facilities feel a bit dated. The tatami room was okay, yet mosquitoes buzzed around and the A/C was noisy. With no doors closed in the building, mosquitoes kept coming in.

This old building sits in the heart of the lively port town, offering a relaxed, peaceful vibe and excellent value. The only downside is the tight corners and stairs, though that’s part of its charm.
