Located in downtown Austin, the Renaissance Austin Downtown offers modern guest rooms with cable TV, work desks, and coffee makers. This hotel is within walking distance of the Red River Music District, University of Texas at Austin's campus, and 6th Street shopping. Morningbird, a walk-up counter, serves coffee, breakfast, and take-away items. The Austin Convention Center and Austin Children’s Museum are a 15-minute walk away.

Good location. Very friendly staff. Parking is pricey.

It is very well located, the rooms are good and clean. The front‑desk staff are not very friendly. What bothered me the most was that their parking system did not accept foreign mobile payments, so I was forced to pay a valet fee of 200 USD for three nights—far too expensive. The hotel is already not very economical.
