The location is gorgeous, right in the historic center, so walking to various restaurants and sights is a breeze—everything is just a few meters away. The historic building itself is charming, the rooms and bathroom are clean, and the linens are perfect. The downside is that there’s no parking; we had to carry our luggage by hand for about 400 m from the nearest parking spot. We never asked if we could drive in and then walk, and no one suggested it, so we’re not sure if it was possible. There were bedbugs on the windows, giving off a bad smell, and the dark exterior walls had pigeon droppings that were cleaned up but still didn’t match the quality of the property. A bedside table had a broken drawer; it looks old and probably needs fixing.

The spot is decent for getting to the historic center. Inside the room, there was no toilet paper, no shower shampoo, no mosquito nets, and no anti‑mosquito measures. The bathroom lacked suitable power outlets for the hair dryer and no adapter was provided. When we called reception about the missing toilet paper, they said we had to pick it up ourselves at another address on the same street, and they couldn’t bring it to the room. The shower head was clogged with limescale, so the water flow was very weak and insufficient for a proper shower. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

Great location, very friendly staff, and the room and common areas are very striking.

The historic palace is very pretty. There were no air‑conditioners or blinds, so it was impossible to sleep in the dark.
