“A nice location and kind staff, with an appreciative nod to the manager for addressing my concerns”

The location was nice, and the staff I interacted with were kind and helpful, including helping me change rooms. After my review was posted, the manager personally contacted me, refunded two nights, and offered a complimentary two-night stay. I appreciated the follow-up and willingness to address my concerns. Update after speaking with the manager: After my review was posted, the manager called me, refunded two nights of my four-night stay, and offered a complimentary two-night stay. I appreciate the personal follow-up and meaningful effort to make things right. While my original experience was disappointing, I want to acknowledge the manager’s response and the steps taken to address my concerns. I appreciate the manager’s follow-up and effort to make things right. Given that response, I would be willing to give the hotel another chance, with the hope that the cleanliness and maintenance concerns will be addressed. Unfortunately, my four-night stay was disappointing. There were roaches in my first room, and although the staff helped me switch rooms, I found dead bugs in the second room. The sheets and towels were dirty, and I borrowed sheets and a blanket from a family member to feel comfortable in the bed. There was very little hot water, the water pressure was poor, and the furniture felt cheaply made. The door lock seemed flimsy, which made me feel uneasy as a woman traveling alone. No manager was available on-site during my stay to address these concerns

The room was nice and updated, but it was really small and the beds are uncomfortable.
