The mosque inside the hotel is absolutely amazing and the rooms are clean, with shuttle service to the Haram running every hour. However, the sound insulation is poor and the noise from neighboring rooms bothers us in our own room. The cleaning staff are annoying when they tidy adjacent rooms, their voices are very loud, and the bus takes a long time to reach the Haram because it uses the crowded Makkah routes instead of the tunnel like the Al-Mahboub hotels.

The place is respectable and all the women are cooperative and tasteful; God willing we’ll stay there again at the Marriott Palace.

The hotel is excellent and the entire staff is outstanding and helpful; this is not my first stay and I hope it repeats. For those who use the hotel bus, when returning, exit from the Marwa gate in the courtyard; it cuts the distance in half. If you need special alternatives for elderly guests who find the bus walk difficult, I personally rented a taxi to the Haram for 10 riyals and got off at the tunnel right in front of King Abdulaziz’s gate; on the return, exit the same gate and walk to the parking directly opposite, then take a taxi back for 30 to 40 riyals depending on traffic. Adding the taxi fare to the hotel’s round-trip fare makes it a very good deal. The same issue as before: it is advertised as free shuttle to the Haram, but the reality is it is a paid service, and this fee is not disclosed on the booking site. Even though I don’t use the hotel bus—because the designated stop set by the organization is far from the Haram—there is no way to cancel the fee for using the bus.

The price is good. There is no microwave or iron.
