Aachen

Breakfast was included and adequate, staff were helpful and gracious, and parking was available near the main highway, which is convenient though noisy; however, the toilet flushing was noisy and ineffective, the Wi‑Fi didn’t work in our room, the heater controls didn’t function properly, and while the hotel seems newly renovated, the workmanship felt cheaply done.

“Bad experience. Not recommended to stay.”

The highway access was good, but the room was extremely tiny, very outdated, and in need of renovation; there was barely enough space to walk between the bed and the wall, no room to store baggage, and it was hard to flush water in the toilet bowl. Toiletries were placed on the floor in the washroom due to lack of space, and when we were leaving, the building had no power—corridors were dark and the elevator was out of service. We had five suitcases to carry two floors down the stairs, which my daughter and I couldn't manage; I asked the concierge when power would return and she said five hours, which stunned me, so I had to ask a cleaning lady for help. I do not recommend this place.

I was disappointed because the room had hot water but the bathroom was in a state that made us want to wait 40 minutes for a shower. The window blinds were missing, the phone in the toilet was broken, and water splashed everywhere. I don’t recommend it.
