“Rural charm away from the city”

The hotel sits in a lovely, peaceful area close to the city yet far enough to feel completely away from the busy city experience; everything was clean and the staff were friendly. Dining in the restaurant in the evening was a great option, offering excellent, reasonably priced food. The rooms were well equipped and suited us perfectly. We specifically booked this accommodation because it was indicated that the pool would be open, but it was not, which was quite disappointing. The included breakfast was fine, just very basic.

“Bon séjour à la Masseria.”

The welcome was good but performed by service staff. The room equipment was a bit harsh. The breakfast was good, with many homemade cakes. The price was attractive.

The pool, although on the dates we were there (22 to 24 September), could not be used because it was not protected at all. The rooms are spacious and could be very good if the maintenance and cleaning were correct. There was an unbearable odor in the bathroom that made us want to run out as soon as we entered the room. The cleaning was terrible. For example, in the wardrobe there were cushions full of dust and the bar where the hangers are hung had even more dust, so we couldn't take anything out of the suitcase. They don't pay attention to details: for instance, the grass around the apartments was high, giving an abandoned look; another example, there was almost no toilet paper on the second day and we had to ask several times, and the cleaning lady ignored us.

It matched the description. The rooms had no windows. a bunker. The only ventilation was through the bathroom window by leaving the door open.
