“You Get What You Pay For”

The location is good. The decor is outdated, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and the safe didn’t work properly.

I had already told the hotel my arrival time, so Marco waited at the entrance and guided me. I was arriving in the morning and had expected only to drop off my luggage, but he took me all the way to my room, so I could rest a bit before heading out at my leisure. The Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica are very close, and I could visit them without rushing even at the scheduled time. Seeing St. Peter’s at night on the way back was the best part. The station is right next to the hotel, and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants around, making it very convenient. I took a taxi from the station, but the subway would also be easy to understand. Most importantly, the back‑and‑forth messaging was smooth and helpful. The building itself might be old, but it’s nicely decorated, classic and warm, which gave me peace of mind and I found it very comfortable. This hotel, along with everything else, became a wonderful memory of Rome—thank you.
