We first got a room without windows in the sleeping area, but we were switched to another room that we really liked. In July we didn’t need the air‑conditioning because the room was cool. The breakfast was a problem: the hotel used to serve a breakfast buffet last year, but this time the dishes were cold— the gözleme and the fries were lukewarm and bland. I don’t eat hard-boiled eggs, and the omelette was only available for an extra fee. The restaurant staff were unfriendly, often something was missing, and the service was lacking. Tables were not cleared; sometimes we had to clear them ourselves or ask the staff to do it. These criticisms might sound harsh, but for a Michelin‑2026‑awarded restaurant this is unacceptable.

The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and the parking was easy, with friendly staff. The building is historic and has been recently renovated, right in the city centre, and the price is excellent for the value you get, making it great for young travellers. The downside was the lack of AC; if you don’t close the windows it gets noisy. The minaret, dogs, and cats were a nuisance, the stairs were very steep and poorly designed, and there was no elevator, which is a shame given the price.

The surroundings are lovely to explore, and it’s a calm spot to rest. The restaurant is right next to the hotel, which is perfect for wrapping up a trip if you want to relax before heading back, especially if you’re looking to experience a different hotel and place in Cappadocia like I did.

The room was amazing, with a super comfortable bed and bathroom that were clean and smelled good. Breakfast was rather minimal, but the fresh fruit was a nice touch.
