The Courtyard by Marriott Silver Spring Downtown is located in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, near the Round House Theater and AFI Silver Theater/Cultural Center. The hotel features an on-site restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and rooms with flat-screen TVs, refrigerators, and coffee makers. It's 20 minutes from the National Zoological Park and 25 minutes from the Washington Monument and downtown Washington, D.C.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, had a beautiful lobby, felt safe, and the bed was nice, but I was charged an early‑checkout fee even though I only stayed one night and had prepaid.

I loved the view from the 10th floor, the on‑site parking garage, the staff’s excellent check‑in and check‑out service, and the key‑access building and elevator system, but the room was a tad smaller than I expected and the bistro/restaurant didn’t live up to my hopes.

The location was great, letting me pop into DC to see some sights and then return to enjoy local dining; the farmers market was a highlight. The lobby was hot and parking cost a lot.
