Wen Jin Yuan is a charming cottage full of authentic Yunnan architecture and lifestyle. It’s well situated on the upper part of Li Jiang, away from the old town’s noise yet very accessible (no need to drag your suitcase long on cobbles – about 50 metres max). Xiao Zhao is a very welcoming host, always listening and eager to inform, help, suggest ideas for places to discover. I’ll return to Wen Jin Yuan on my next stay in Li Jiang.

The hotel is stunning, perfectly positioned, full of charm and a genuine traditional vibe. The décor is meticulous and authentic. The staff, especially Xiao Zhao, were warm, available, and attentive, ensuring our stay ran smoothly. A wonderful address we recommend without hesitation. Everything was flawless.

This boutique spot in the old town sits high up, away from the noise, and cars can park close by. The staff were incredibly charming and helpful, with the manager and Sandy going out of their way to assist. We highly recommend this fantastic hotel. Nothing to add.
