The host of this boutique‑style hotel was serious but attentive and offered help whenever possible. Because we were arriving early by night train (before 0700) and it was still before check‑in time, he let us leave our luggage and even pointed out a nearby breakfast spot for us to eat, suggesting we could return at 1100 AM, which I think was to allow an early check‑in. The room had all the basic amenities, the cleanliness was acceptable, and there were plenty of food options nearby, making it convenient for meals. The train station is a 5‑minute walk away and the shuttle service to various attractions is quite handy. On the downside, the room is on the ground floor of an older building, has dampness and mosquitoes. The windows face a pedestrian street, so we had to keep the doors and windows shut to sleep, but that made the air feel stuffy.

Great value for money, very close to the metro stop which makes traveling to the airport or exploring Berlin convenient, and the room is spacious with comfortable beds.
