The Lights City Rooms sit in Málaga’s heart, just 1.8 km from La Malagueta Beach and 500 m from the Cathedral, with the Picasso Museum under a kilometer away. The spot is central and stays quiet at night, everything is within walking distance, the staff were great and they booked us a free city sights tour that worked out well; the reception is in the adjacent hostel building, which might feel a bit off‑putting, but the staff were still great.

The hotel’s proximity to the Mercado and bus stops was a real plus, but I wish the reception had been in the same building as the rooms.
