The spot in the old town was great, the patio offered a superb view, it was very charming, and the host was responsive, but I expected breakfast and found the restaurant closed in mid‑October with no coffee—an awkward start to the day.

The B&B was excellently positioned with a fabulous view over the old Certaldo at the top of the hill, yet the standard breakfast was good and served but somewhat limited in variety.

I was right in the town centre, and the views were gorgeous. The breakfast on the terrace was flawless, and everything else—from the spotless rooms to the attention to detail—was spot on. Only downside: the orange juice at breakfast wasn’t natural.
